Porcelain Onlays

When a tooth is beyond repair with a standard, composite resin filling, we may recommend a very conservative, tooth reinforcing "Porcelain Onlay."

Onlays are designed to imitate the natural feel of the tooth. Unlike fillings that can leave a tooth half as strong when finished, porcelain onlays "restore" the tooth back to its original strength. Dr. Weigand prefers to restore his patients' teeth rather than simply fill them. With proper home care, these onlays can last for many years.
