Dr, Weigand is proud to offer his patients the option of the Waterlase Dental Laser from Biolase Technology. The Waterlase uses a process that gently washes away decay with laser-energized droplets of water. The laser gently and precisely removes a wide range of human tissue including tooth enamel (the hardest substance in the body), and soft gum tissue with no heat and little or no discomfort. This eliminates the annoying sound of the drill, as well as the need for novocaine shots. Laser dentistry is ideal for both children and adults. Anyone that has ever had a fear of the dentist will be pleasantly surprised once they experience dental treatment with the laser.

What are the benefits of the Waterlase? 1. Heat and vibration are often the causes of most of the discomfort associated with a drill.
